What do you do to increase traffic to your hubs and potentially increase AdSense earnings?
Besides writing quality, I post links on Shetoldme,Redgage, Traffup and IMAutomator
Shetoldme and Redgage pay for your ppc's, Traffup just displays up to 10 links.
IMAutomator is a site for submitting you links to social sites
They are all free and Shetoldme is highly ranked by Google.
This is besides also using Facebook and Tweeter.
I basically use social bookmarking sites to drive more traffic and through my followers. Having more fans also help to get more popularity on hubs. I send email to my friends and lovers to read and the topic.
Write interlinking content on a number of different sites and platforms then book mark all of them. I do this random as possible to make it look as natural and organic as possible.
Although this works very well it does take a lot of work and somewhat patience as you have to wait a while for each article or web asset to 'age' somewhat'.
The idea is to create a spider's web of content all linking to each other with your main niche article at the top, sort of like a traffic tunnel!
Although the best way to attract traffic especially to your primary content is to have highly valuable content that people cannot find anywhere else.
This often means you have to do a fair amount of in-depth research on your chosen topic to gauge what the benchmark is!
Highly effective 'On Page SEO' also helps a great deal as well!

I use SEO tools to make my hubs more recognized by google spiders which increases views... aka- high traffic/low competition key search words(tags)/phrases... name hubs the same as my top search word(tag) google likes it when your url is what people are searching for... bold my keywords (not all of them-or google can see it as spam)... use social media to post links...email the link to friends...and when it is an older hub-edit/change/add content (google likes fresh content) and then repost link to social media sources/post links to your hubs on sites that have a high PR ranking-this helps get up the search engines, which should increase traffic...all that is for external traffic (along with some other stuff like subject matter which isn't played out and making sure my content is original ALWAYS!). For internal site traffic-participate in the community, read other hubs/comment on those hubs_ use the forums to make yourself known- and place links on your hubs to other hubs you have written.
I just join socialmonkee, redgage, and I tweet several times mostly at night, and also have about 300 friends on facebook.
I agree, there are many tools that you can use. Formatting your blogs to suit Google and major search engines is key. However, I just wrote a short blog on Social Monkee...it seems good so far and is free for up to 750 backlinks per month.
Posting links, Twitter, get your friends and family on Facebook to check out your articles. Also Yahoo messenger, in the forums, CG and much more. There are endless ways to promote, you just have to learn about them. Google it and you shall prevail.
I always Tweet my articles that I have written here, and at other sites. I often link the Hubs to articles at other sites. In addition, I use SocialAdr and InfoPirate, and will begin putting them on SheToldMe soon.
I like SheToldMe and InfoPirate because they also pay Adsense revenue.
As my library of articles gets larger, I will interlink some of them, too.
Writing is a business and, like any business, we have to provide valuable products and advertise them!
man these are some awesome suggestions! (getting a pen and paper)the only thing I can add here is to consider e-mailing your links to friends and family directly
I really don't have a clue about having to increase traffic besides,
* Using effective keywords
* Creating links from you page to a more popular page that has much to do with your blog.
I don't really focus on AdSense earning. I focus on promotion my book "Thoughts and Emotions: Past, Present and Future" at lulu.com and I just concentrate on sharing my opinions with the world. If I get traffic great, if not, I just don't sweat the small stuff!
What a great question and great answers here! I should make myself follow all this pieces of advice..
Your hub should contain proper details, with crisp editing.
And as far as promoting your hubs is concerned, go for traffup.
In simple words I do SEO and social media of all my hubs to increase traffic and generate page rank.
I do absolutely nothing and 100% Referring Sites does all the increasing traffic to my hubs for me. I have 26 visits and 45 Page Views and a ever total page views 3064 and 188 monthly views with an average 1021 views per hub for my 3 hubs along with 697 Page Impressions with Google Adsense. You must be patient with referring sites because it took them 2 months to find my article called " Daily Nuggets Moment AMBASSADOR BRANDON BUTLER " which got 0 traffic during those 2 months from June 2010 A.D. to August 2010 A.D. Just write it and they will hunt it down on the internet like they done with my article. The only thing I have done was to kick back and watch it take off and soar around the world through 100% referring sites traffic. This is awesome results for 3 hubs in 13 months and you can compare your 10's, 100's, 1000's of hubs stats with my 3 hubs with an average 1021 views per hub so far as of June 28, 2011 A.D. 100% Referring Sites, 0% Search Engines, 0% Direct Traffic that have increase traffic to my article called " Daily Nuggets Moment AMBASSADOR BRANDON BUTLER "
Great question! I got lots of ideas. For me, I post Hubs i am particularly proud of to Facebook. I find my friends and family tend to share them for me. (I dont even ask!) I do try not to over use it, I figure people will stop paying attention!
Write a good hub and share it to the world especially Facebook and Twitter. Not to forget, create more backlinks to it. Gain More traffic and your Adsense earnings will boost as well.
i don't do this stuff most as i'm here to write about my passions, initially i started writing on internet to earn but later i thought its not good to earn or sell your passions.
The obvious one is quality writing, and thorughness - proper tags, summary, etc. I also use a vast array of social networking sites, the most obvious ones being twitter, but there are also social networking sites for specific niches - I specialise in anime and bubblegum music so I am a member of Anihub, Gaia, and Myanimelist
I'm sure Reddit and Digg are pretty good ones too.
The other key is patience. I get pretty low traffic as well, partly because there are a lot of sites and blogs that deal with anime - so I have a lot of competition. But I also have a unique style and some interesting subject matters (comparing anime to plato?) that seperate me, and I hope that I will eventually be rewarded.
I guess is a combination of SEO (Search Engine Optimization), selecting a good niche and writing quality hubs. Additionally you could interlink to your own hubs inside the new ones, creating more traffic between them
Wow great question I'm glad you asked! I have learned so much just by reading these responses. I am very new to this site but I had planned on using blogger for backlinks to start with. But I have picked up so many tips here i will have to add to my original plan. Thanks a bunch!
I always share my articles with facebook, twitter, stumbleupon, diggit, tumblr, and other websites. As long as you use well-chosen tags, the word will get out.
Yesterday I put in more tags, will see what the effects are in a couple weeks' time!
I use to write about my articles on twitter, facebook, topix.com and some other places with the link.
You can do interlinking of your hubs with other hubs. When you publish a hub you can do bookmarking. There are a lot of popular sites like digg, delicious, reditt etc etc.You can post your hub to other pages which has relevant content.Or it will be good if you can hire a SEO expert.
You should select interesting topic with attractive title and most importantly original content. If you select appropriate title with keywords, Google will quickly index your Hub and increase its visibility.
this question has literally been asked thousands of times on here...just check out some of the other hubs about it (search bar). The best of the best hubbers have written tons of articles about them (btw look at people who've had success)
I write on topics that get people to think in a quality way. In addition I post links to all my hubpages articles on my website. In addition i also post a link on linkedin and post a comment on my twitter page. This gives more individuals a chance to read the article by knowing about it from different sources in addition to hubpages.
I find that this has been working well as my website popularity in addition to my twitter is gaining followers almost daily. The more exposure you create the more you become known for the talent and expertise you have.
In July I was only posting my hubs on Twitter and Facebook. In August I started branching out - Reddit, Digg, StumbleUpon, RedGage - and started sharing with my followers (that's an option at the bottom of each hub) to help get more visibility. In one month's time my Google income increased SIX Fold! Now don't be upset. I am still fairly new, but in July I made 25 cents and in August it rose to $1.49 but I believe I am on the right track to increasing traffic. Also my daily views went from 8 a day to (gasp!) over 200 because I got 166 views for one freshly released Hub on the Reddit site.
Write interesting hubs that everyone wants to read. You could write about what you know or research topics you know many people may be searching for and once you have enough knowledge write about that.
Here is some tips that I put in a hub to quickly increase the traffic to my hubs. These are all great tools cause many of them have google chrime extensions making it quick to use their services. http://czczcz.hubpages.com/hub/Easy-Hub … 10-minutes
I always try to write keyword based quality content with a SEO friendly keyword density and also try to build links with my niche websites.I think this strategy works well to get a good traffic for AdSense earnings.
nice question good answers for a new hubber
so it means you can post your hubs on SheToldMe or any other sites also
does hubpages allow it or you just share your link there ?
Really its great question .....
but you can get lot of visitor from twitter and facebook, through sharing and sharing with friends and you can use SEO tricks for content promotion and promote your Hub.
Yes. Traffic will give you a higher chance of generating more adsense earnings. Overall, if you can boost your traffic, you can have more potential of earning from adsense, amazon and ebay.
I post links on Ciriya.com and Snipsly.com, which both share Adsense revenue as well, and if I have a high traffic hub, I'll use it and post links to other websites that I link off of Ciriya.com or Snipsly.com, which also greatly increases my shot at getting Adsense revenue.
The use of keywords and phrases are a huge help to drive traffic to your hubs. I also advertise any time I get a chance. I use Twitter, Facebook, friends, Stumbleupon, Google bookmarks, Google Reader, and many more to advertise as much as I can and as much as I think people can stand it!
More tags, social bookmark your page, try to choose a title that's is seo friendly. Try to research a title that is seo friendly. Once goggle indexes your article sometimes you will end up on the first page anyway for you hubpage for your keywords.
other than writing quality hubs, do some marketing and use the power of social media. i found a website (similar to digg) called virtusa.co.za where users can share and discover the latest on the web. this site is a south african based social community and has some attractive features, best being an adsense revenue share model. so, you get 80% share by simply submitting your links and such. the more you post, the more you can earn : http://www.virtusa.co.za
i do much of hubtivity nowadays and the traffic has started coming more than before, seo is not a bad idea.
WRITING A HUB AND SHARE WITH FACEBOOK, TWITTER AND PUT MORE TAG IN IT
Linked in works well. Join a group that fits in with your blog's topic. People will post a thread asking everyone in the group if they want to add any of their links or blogs to drive traffic to their site.
This is a very helpful question. I think the key to earning is great content and lots of readers. I think it takes time, effort and a lot of patience. I am new to all this so still learning the ins and outs.
After reading this i didn't understand what a backlink was so i googled it and i've stumbled across Automation software, does anybody use this or looked in to it?
Social Bookmarking on the big sites only (digg, delicious) are what will get you quality backlinks.
Ping.fm is my first choice. I also submit to my facebook and twitter account.

There have been several theories about what content Google is penalising and rewarding in the search results but at the moment it does seem a bit random (from my end). Let's compare notes and hopefully we can see some common threads in there. What content of yours is holding on to its ranking and...

I have read somewhere here that google search engines take into account the page-views to compute ranking. Is it advisable to delete non-performing Hubs, those with 0 pageviews a day, as a way to increase traffic in an attempt to increase ranking? How do you deal with low-performing hubs?thanks in...

I am starting to learn how to social bookmark. I've been doing it on twitter, facebook, igoogle, digg, delicious, diigo, my blogs, pingomatic and a few other places. I have only been doing it on some of these sites for the last four or five days. It probably takes a while to see...

There is a lot of bad SEO (search engine optimization) advice out there, and the use of automated services that procure backlinks to your Hubs is one particularly egregious example. Using services to get backlinks can result in your Google AdSense and/or HubPages account permanently banned. Yes, we...

Hi,I've signed up and am ready to start making hubs in my specialised subject, but I was wondering what the earning potential of hubbig (if that's a word) actually is. I realise it all depends on how attractive your pages are and how good they are etc, but what are people actually earning? I am not...
