Reddit is a good source of traffic. You can also get traffic by setting up a parallel blog linking to your Hubs.
Marketing is a heck of a lot more than just promotion and trying to get good traffic numbers. My market plan would take a couple of hours to explain, but suffice to say it involves several types of market research and targeting techniques, optimizing for searchability, finding ways to provide the most useful information possible to my readers, then promoting through word-of-mouth, backlinking, bookmarking, pinging, etc.
