Is it possible to use recipe microdata on HubPages by spanning different capsules?
No, the limited number of tags you can use in the HTML editor prevent you from adding the necessary wrapper (eg if using microformats you would want the whole recipe to be wrapped by divs with a class of hRecipe). Without the wrapper there is not much point marking up the other elements because they would have no context for interpretation.
(I had every intention of deleting this question after putting in the minimal effort required to work the answer out for myself. Finding it impossible to delete a question my penance for laziness is answering it).

I have tried to find out why in past forum postings without any luck. I assume it's because of loss of page rank. Is that the...

When I write a personal recommendation in the 'description section; on my Amazon capsule, it doesn't seem to be appearing as it has in the past. Will this appear, after publication?

I want to make a recipe hub for a salad but the dressing can be used in many other recipes. It would be difficult to post the recipe in a separate hub because it's short and I don't want to have to figure out 400-500 words to say about it for a separate hub. Is is possible to include it as a...
