What I did was went to my profile, hit the Edit button.
    Typed in
"If you enjoy this or any of my Hubs, sign up for HubPages here."
If you highlight the "here" in that section, you can then click the Link button in the Text editting section (it looks like a chain link.)
Then I typed in www.hubpages.com/signin and voila.
You'll end up with a link to their sign in/sign up page for HubPages.

Well that's not quite correct. You should use your referral tracker so that you get credit for getting people to sign up with HubPages.

If you go to my profile page you will see "If you wish to start writing for HubPages, use this link," hover over the bit in blue that says "use this link" you will see after hubpages.com a / followed by _ followed by tinar. Tinar is my referral tracker and you must have the _ to get the credit.

To create a referral tracker go to my account, then earnings, then referral trackers. One complicated one is given, but you can create simpler ones. Then any hubapges page can be turned into a referral page by adding /_tinar (in my case).
