Ahh, its good to know I'm not the only one getting short of traffic. My main SECRET is do-follow back links. Do-follow back links are followed and crawled by the search engines. Try using websites like SheToldMe, Best-Reviewer and RedGage to promote your hubs and get those free do-follow back links. I've increased my traffic by 1900% by creating these do-follow back links. Here's the full story in my most recent hub: http://hubpages.com/hub/5-months-on-Hub … -5-Dollars

Whats more, they also provide 100% Google AdSense revenue on those links!!

Oh, and I don't really use the keyword tool often. I won't know where to plug in those keywords and it would spoil my concentration. Google itself suggests you to write contents for users, not for him!

Hey Brett, a good way to rank high on search engines is to first find out what string of keywords you want to rank high on.  Then search for those keywords on Google or any search engines.  Look at the top 3 or 4 links on search results.  After that check out how many back links they have linked to their site targeted for those keywords.  Beat their number of back links will help give you higher ranks and in time increase traffic.  I'd start with less common keywords to compete for only because it'd be easier.

I post links on Shetoldme, Redgage and IMAutomator; Shetoldme gives 100% of Adsense revenue, Redgage is 60/40 and IMautomator submits links to social sites but no Adsense potential.

You may also try Traffup and Easyhits4u, but research them carefully as Google may deem these last two as content farms and can lead to a penalty.

Digg.com gets your hubs indexed within one hour's time.

Reddit.com is a "do follow" back link that can sometimes give you THOUSANDS of page views.

Start a facebook group for whatever your interests are, and share your topics.  You don't have to start a fb group, look around with your facebook search toolbar, and find groups - there are thousands of them.

Newsvine is a good place to "seed" a link.

Sodahead is a place I now sometimes drop links in the form of questions - it's just how it's done on Sodahead.

I'll try anything for traffic, and once you lose site of learning new traffic tips, you're probably going to fall behind the rest of us.

You can also try do-follow blog comments. That's where you visit blogs that allow you leave your site url on or around the comment you leave.

It's best to leave do-follow comments on blogs that have lots of links them selves which you can check on yahoo site explorer.

The more links they have, the better their page rank on search engines, which in turn increases the weight of your comment (link juice?)

Make sure to really read and leave a helpful and thoughtful comment.

    - Duddy.

Imautomator, shetoldme are do follow sites. Share your link on facebook and twitter. Look at yahoo answers and find questions that pertain to your hub and link your page. Always use google keywords.

100% Referring Sites, 0% Search Engines, 0% Direct Traffic for me writing the greatest article on the earth called " Daily Nuggets Moment AMBASSADOR BRANDON BUTLER " which as of June 22, 2011 A.D. have 26 visits and 45 Page Views with a ever total page views 3056 and 261 monthly views with an average 1018 views for my 3 hubs. I just wrote an excellent quality content article and put it on the internet with Google in June 2010 A.D. and waited for 2 months in getting 0 traffic while I waited for the referring sites to find it of which they did in August 2010 A.D. and it have continue to soar in traffic slowly with me having to do nothing else except to kick back and watch the referring sites come back again and again for it and promoting it around the world for me. You must be patient with 100% referring sites but they will bring an abundance of traffic like they are doing with my article: ' Daily Nuggets Moment AMBASSADOR BRANDON BUTLER "
