I am aware that links are no-no's here but there is really no other way to explain my query.

There are a couple of important TED videos relevant to my hub
<URL snipped - no promotion of links in the Forums>

that I would like to share here and there will be many more in future hubs.

Please, please would/could you include TED videos in the "recognised" video capsules of Hub Pages?

These are the 2 videos I'm talking about (well worth watching):

    /mark_bittman_on_what_s_wrong_with_what_we_eat.html

Thank you for all the fantastic work you're doing. It is greately appreciated.

      Hi Sue,

I'm a big fan of TED.

I'll add it to our list of features to consider.  If we make a decision about adding TED videos, I'll post on this thread.

Thanks Larry, I sincerely hope you succeed in persuading your colleagues to say "yes" to my request as I believe TED videos could add great value to hub contents.

You are not allowed to promote your own hubs on the Forums - Reported !

I am not promoting my own hubs here, just suggesting that HubPages include TED videos in the "recognised" video capsules in addition to those they alreadt support like BlipTV , Google , Metacafe , Revver , Vimeo , Yahoo! Videos, and YouTube.

I know this doesn't help you with your problem but what an excellent site, that TED. Full of sensible people saying interesting things.

Never heard of it before reading your post, so thanks for the accidental pointer (unless your on staff at TED in which case that was some useful spam) smile

Seriously though, that site's worth a bookmark.

Hi Don, I'm glad you too liked TED. It's quite a revelation. No I'm not on their staff but I really hope TED videos will soon be included in the "recognised" video capsules of Hub Pages. There is so much to learn there.

Thanks for raising this.  I think TED is a fantastic site and I have wanted to use one of their videos on a hub before now too.  It would be great if they could be included.

Great to find like-minded people. I'm sure there are many more hubbers who would love to include TED videos to illustrate their hubs.
