Does HubPages pay me more if someone clicks the ads?
Or is it strictly per impression. I'm just wondering.
Because HubPages is Revenue Share based, you are earning money via clicking the ads only.
BTW: I do not suggest to cheating by clicking own AD - it will be revealed and punished by Google CO.
I know all about invalid clicks and stuff, because I run my own blog with Ad Sense. I was just wondering if I should rearrange stuff to put ads in a more prime location.
I don't think you can rearrange adds on hubpages. But there are many ways how to arrange adds on blogs.
First rule is not to bomb blog with adds... one-two add box per page is optimum. Pages with too many adds looks spammy and will effect SERP.
Second thing... position add in a page content and not on the header or footer. That way google knows page content and will use appropriate links. Sidebars are OK but CPC is lower.
Third. Use style for your adds. Background and link color should always match page style.
And as Froch sayed: Never click your own adds. Never tell your friends to clik on them ether. Too many click from the same source will also get you banned from AdSense.
Surely if someone clicks on the ad, Google will pay you more.

I have noticed a sharp decline in page eCPM in previous week. I am afraid if it is the result of wide format ads displayed on top of the page (above the hub title). I'll appreciate comments from other hubbers.Prem

Here's something for you guys to consider, and I am simply reiterating a comment I made on another post. You need organic traffic to your Hubs! Why? If you are using adsense, or any other monetization method on Hubpages, you will not, I repeat, you will NOT get credit for clicks on your ads from...

I have been a bit puzzled about the way Google Adsense pays. There is reference to page impressions and clicks. I know that clicks get paid for at various rates, but I am not sure about impressions. Does the number of page impressions bring in any revenue. For example, some of my articles get...

So, I've heard about click fraud, and I know not to click my own ads, but when it comes to friends and family, how broad does that go? Is there anyone in particular I should tell NOT to click the ads on my hubs?
