   Hey all,
   While doing house chores I had the TV on and "caso Cerrado" was on. Well Dr. Polo was trying to decide this case of this lady that wanted to clone her son.
   
   I personally don't agree with any type of cloning, but I was wondering what were your opinions on this.

      Cloning is rather dangerous, from all reports. The genetics in cloning are altered and the clone usually lives a much shorter life-span with all kinds of health complications. It's well documented in animal cloning.
      
      Additionally, cloning is a duplicate of the original body, but not necessarily of the personality. There will be some differences, as much as there may be similarities. Much the same way that identical twins are similar and different. An individual remains an individual.
      
      Cloning a son with a romantic fantasy of either restoring a loss or doubling one's joy seems a little absurd to me.

         Yeah, I thought the lady was going through a tough time, it is absurd but I wonder how this science came about.  Why would it be put for humans, are we entering that sci fi age of clone vs humans? Ha ha This is why I wanted to know your opinions over this

   Cloning isn't as big a deal as people make it out to be. Identical twins are clones, and there isn't one who is the "lesser copy."

      Twins have a lot of differences i.e. fingerprints.
      Plus, they have different souls, how can they be clones?

   There are no clones that are more identical than identical twins. Having the same genes does not make two people completely identical. That's all clones are: genetically identical individuals. They are not physically identical. One can be a little bigger, or smaller or fatter or skinnier. They do not have the same experiences and they don't share the same thoughts.
   
   If you  cloned an adult, the clone would still have to start out as a baby, with its own experiences.
   
   What makes you think clones wouldn't have separate souls?
