How do I give my hub a url or web adress?
I'm just starting this. I'm technologically impaired, but not unteachable..how do I give my "hub" a web address? Do I need my own web page first?
When you create a hub, in the window where it asks you to give your hub a title there is also a text box that asks you for the url of the hub. Usually when you write the title for the hub the hub url is filled in for you. If you want a different url from the one that is generated and shown in the text box you can change it.
Welcome to Hubpages, Catherine1416. Lovebuglena said it well. No, you don't need your own web page first. Hubpages does it all for you.
Basically, Hubpages automatically gives your hub a unique URL (web address) for you whenever you start a new hub. The URL they give you will be based upon the title you put for your hub. So just click on "start a new Hub" and go from there... it will all work out. Hubpages handles a whole lot of things like that automatically for you, so just go with the flow....!
And as Lovebuglena said, it's possible for you to change the URL if you don't like the one they picked for you... but only when you start the new hub, you can't do this after the first screen. (Don't worry about this last bit for now if it's confusing).
Keep asking questions if you're not sure or get stuck. I have found Hubpages to be a helpful community.

I was just creating my latest hub and the URL I created comes up with a message that that url already exists. How do I re-link my new hub to that URL (my own thunderkeys URL)?

I started to draft a new hub and decided to change the title. Unfortunately the hub URL still has the original title in it. Is it possible to get the URL changed to match the revised title?
