I could be wrong but I think the hub score is more reflected in the participation and not the time spent on Hub Pages. Reading other people's hubs, commenting, answering and asking questions, writing good quality hubs, taking part in forums. Not to mention getting new followers and following other people. I believe that the score is remuneration for the effort you put into your work and for guiding other hubbers. I am sure there will be more to it but that is my slant on the situation. Hope it helps

Yes and no.  Hub score is all about site participation - but if you ignore a part of the site, you won't get the higher score.

So in other words you have to write hubs, read and comment other person's hubs, answer and ask questions, and comment the forums.

Going "hub hopping" is another major thing that lots of people don't do much of.

Truly though - the single best thing to do is to write really good, unique and original hubs.
