How come unpublished hubs show views on the stat page?
I have an unpublished hub that has quite a lot of views listed on the state page. Does anyone know why that happens?
Because although it has been unpublished and hence, now the hub will no longer get views (except when you view it), the hub still received views prior to it being unpublished and so these views are included in your statistics. If you would prefer not to have the views included, you can delete the hub and all content+views will be removed from your account.
If you view your own Hubs, including unpublished ones you are editing, it counts in the stats page. I think HubPages should not count your own visits to your hubs since they skew the data and don't count toward pages views for the Ad programs. Can anyone from HubPages address this?

How do unpublished hubs get views?I just finished writing a new hub but saved it as a draft for now. I notice my stats say it has 7 views. How can this be possible? And, I also heard somewhere that saving hubs as drafts helps your rating. Is this true and how would that even work?

I am sure this has been addressed here before but I forgot the answer ! I am making a biggish hub and it is unpublished yet I have 14 pageviews - are they me opening it to add new stuff ? It had 3 views immediately after I started it and had only opened it to start!

How does my unpublished hub have 2 page views?I'm freaking out! I'm not ready to publish it, I need to edit, and I'm not even 100% sure I want to make it a hub! Who looked at it?

I know that our own views are counted on the stats page but I have not opened this hub to edit it today and yet I can see that I have had four visits!

When your hubs are unpublished why does it still show page views? Are those Hubpages staff reading your hubs or something? I just don't understand how something unpublished can be generating page views.
