I wrote about things I enjoyed or knew about. I didn't try to publish something immediately about making money or getting followers just because those are the things people on here are interested in. I market to a pregnancy group, for the most part, and that's where most of my followers come from. I also advertised on my blogs, social networks, etc. So even though those people aren't a part of the site, they still see what I write and up my page views.
You inspired me to write a hub, so if you would like go ahead and check it out. My thoughts on how to be successful... patience, persistence and participation. The hub will explain what I mean a little more!
