I deleted 2 Hubs because the material was no longer relevant Hub Pages deleted my # of viewers. Why?
The Hubs I deleted had advertising on them, and I had earned the number of viewers. I didn't feel it was fair to leave them up there when the information had changed. Example, the last deleted was about a special program on the birds of the Grand Canyon that was only offered through Sept 18th. Why should fans of Hub Pages read about something that is over, and why should I be penalized for deleting the material that was no longer valid?
I'm only guessing here but if you are talking about page views, the statistics might be assigned to each page separately and added up to create a total sum.
When you delete a hub, the views of this hub also disappear as they belonged to it. As the result your total goes down.
It's the way I would see it, but don't rely on it as I have no insights into the way it's handled by HubPages admins.
If it's no longer valid, then you should have changed it and republished. You aren't being penalized for deleting the material, but why should you keep the views of a hub that no longer exists? They were deleted in accordance with the deleted hub. You get the choice of republishing or keeping it unpublished, but if you delete it, the views go too.
Ask Hubpages......You can contact them anytime and ask them your questions. It seems to me, they would have the best and most accurate answer for WHY they did what they did. Don't you think?

I cannot believe the amount of lenses from Squidoo, strictly about Squidoo are not only on Hub Pages, but they are found at the bottom of other hubs under Related Hubs.

Fellow Squid refugees, as many of us come to the end of our first full month on HubPages, I'm wondering how those edits are coming. What's been your process for slogging through the old lenses, to turn them into shiny new hubs?

So my suggestion to hubpages is that maybe you might like to look at alternate like say Ad Brite for the people who like me who are in the same position. I have 140 hubs up and I can see that I am still having the odd advertisement inserted onto my pages for which I will not receive payment; maybe...

I've had links to my own related hubs snipped on several occasions (mostly blatant lists at the end of a hub), but some links have been left in place after several snips. So is it acceptable to include a link to a hub which may be very relevant to the specific content in a section of a hub, if it...

I deleted a hub the other day but it's still showing up in "my account" with a slash through it. How long will it take until it no longer shows up?Thanks!Melanie
