I'm wanting to hubpages as a blog and creative writing area, is it possible to do so?
Yes, you may try using hubpages. but, if you are going to write mostly of your personal experiences which you think not so noticeable by search engines, better use any blog platforms (e.g. blogger, wordpress). Based on my experience, my blog (which is in blogger) got more page views than the one I made in hubpages. But i think it depends. If you are about to write something that is eye-catching for mass audience, hubpages is fine either ways.
If you read the Getting Started series in the Learning Center ( link down at the bottom of every page), you'll see that HubPages is not for blogging. You can include personal experiences in hubs, but they must include some information that the general public would be interested in, like tips or tutorials.
Creative writing is permitted on the site. Just make sure to categorize it properly.
Lots of luck!
If you want to earn, then you should post in blogger or wordpress. U can also apply for adsense there. But if you are just want to write and sharw your creativity then why not, u can post them here!

Ok, maybe it's just me, but how articulate do you have to be to post pictures of half naked woman into a Hub, and call it creative writing?

I used to be a hubber and I posted how to's and informational hubs, but I got burnt out because it wasn't my niche. I have written one short story now, do you think creative writing is a good way to go on hubpages?

Has anyone heard anything about the future of poetry and fiction in terms of niches? I am a bit concerned that all us poets will get lost in the shuffle somewhere

You know, I see forum posts complaining about how the forums are boring or dying. I see people complaining about how there's all "Indian Aunties" hubs or picture hubs, how people don't edit, it's...
