Is it really asking too much when you enjoy a Hub to click on an interesting ad?

Is it really asking too much when you enjoy a Hub to click on an interesting ad? (Block Pop Ups)

Much of our readership is our own community. We are admonished not to have same-last-name family members click on the ads (for fear of losing Google Adsense affiliaton.)  So what is really left?  Back links are good and anything else experience recommends.  But is it really too much to ask that, if you enjoyed a Hub, you click an interesting ad on one of the Hubber's Hubs?

You may not lose your adsense if "other Hubbers" click on your ads, but the other Hubbers will lose their adsense accounts!

So perhaps that is why Hubbers do not click on your ads. It is NOT allowed either!

I don't think so because there are some great hubs that cause great ads to pop up.  I would love to just click on an ad here and there, but I am afraid I'd be accused of a violation.  I don't get very many clicks and most of my readers are from Hub Pages (thank you wonderful readers :-)).  I wouldn't want anyone to get into trouble for clicking on an ad on my page, either.

That is a violation of the Google Adsense policy. What would be more fair, is this: Say you want to shop for a good children's book. Come to hubpages first, and look for good reviews. Then, if you see an ad you genuinely like, and truly believe you might buy it, click on that.

That is a win-win. The hubber community wins. And, the advertiser wins, too.

It is not fair to basically fraud 25 cents or a dollar away from an advertiser to reward a good writer. Our awards are at the bottom: "interesting", "useful" and etcetera.

    Good question!

So, if you genuinely want to click on the ad, you can? how does Google distinguish?

Yes, it is asking too much, because those who do the clicking as part of HubPages could lose their account and be banned.

Quoted from the founder  and CEO of HubPages Paul Edmondson:

"Clicking on other people's ads is a big no,no and will likely result in getting banned from AdSense and HubPages."

Is accidentally rolling over an ad and starting it to play--is that a violation?

I did found a couple of relevant ads which actually helped me get the content I was looking for, so by clicking on them I did wrong!!!!!!!
    That's sounds like a problem.
