What is the etiquette of using links to others Hubs in your own Hub?

I would like to give relevant links in my Hub to other HubPages by other authors. I can see that this is a practice, but I am not sure how to go about. Do I need to ask their permission before hand? I have used a few and want to be sure I am not breaking any rule or even etiquette.

It's fine to link to other hubs. Everybody enjoys a mention. And there are no real rules - except if your intentions for the link are negative or derogatory, in which case it is petty and inflammatory, so don't do it.

You can drop a note to hub authors that you link to, telling them of the link if you want to. It might get you a few more readers as they will probably check you out to see how you used their work, but it isn't required.

just keep the links relevant to your content an you're good to go.
