Can someone please explain how to best use Google Analytics and the information there?
I go to Google Analytics and I see lots of really interesting and cool information and statistics, and I know there are things I have not looked at. But I am not sure what to do with this infomation, e.g. to make my articles better, to market, to gauge progress, etc. What can I do with all this information?
Also, are some stats important such a bounce rate - I see the definition, but I'm still not sure I understand that and so many other terms found there. I find myself in the dark, but I know there has to be uses for this information. Thanks!
Well, I'm just about like you in regards to all of that. There's so much data available there that it's hard to figure out just what is useful and just what isn't.
I prefer the Hubpages data that we get - the keywords that show up from search engines on our individual hub's stats are terrific for determining what can be done to improve a title to a hub, and what can be done to improve an existing hub...or to make another one that's similar but more specific.
I think someone could do us all a fine favour by publishing hubs about specific Google Analytics stats and information, and what some of that obscure stuff means to US, how, and why.
I have published a detailed hub in answer to your questions. I hope it will make your understanding of Google analytics much better and help you to improve your hub page / site as the case may be.
