What did you expect from hubpages when you joined?
How far on a scale of 1 to 10 have they been met?
I joined HP to promote my writing and earn few bucks. on a scale of 1 to 10, I would say 4/10 were met mostly in promoting my articles.
I was looking for a place to write some articles with links turned out that I enjoy several of things about hubpages and have earned a few checks along the way by writing additional hubs, nothing huge but has encouraged me to write some additional things here. hubpages have been a 7/10 for me, wish they embraced mobile better with a hub editor for the iPad for one thing would be nice.
I joined to have a new platform that was professional to present my writings. The added ability to make some coin on the side was a good incentive as well as how the site is laid out. HubPages has overall exceeded my expectations. The community members here are great overall. The support is great from both staff and the community when you have a question. Resolution is usually only minutes away.
The great relationship that HP has with Google also has impressed me as well.
So my few expectations were met and much more.
I initially joined to make extra bucks but beyond that i am enjoying myself now in the community with so many prolific writers to learn from. At least it is not a crime to be doing both. For now, the rating is 7.
I expected an outlet for writing that would not be restricted by space in a magazine or newspaper. I also expected the opportunity to create and sustain an income here, the same as I've been able to do in my previous writing. I'd say the first expectation has been met by 9-10 on the scale. It's too early to tell about the second one, since I'm new and still developing my hubs and content.
I'm totally satisfied with hubpages. I've had some complaints, but as things are rolling smoothly for me at the moment - the complaints I've had are pretty minimal.
All of the information one would need in order to create web pages here or elsewhere and make them commercially viable ...it's all right here, it's only up to the user to read it, and ask questions.
What more could someone want from a site? A personal assistant? BAH! This is the best site of it's kind on the internet.
When I joined the Hub, I just to share poetry and read as well.. I just wanted to discuss poetry... Not now though.. I have being seen countless of question that says money money money... I am beginning to get curious
I enjoyed writing and it was easy platform to share and write. Making money was an added bonus.
I was looking for a place with opportunities to be evaluated by other writers on my hubs. Feedback is important in focusing our energy and becoming better writers. I have learned much from the comments I have received and from other writers on hubpages.
The rating system is great and not only for the hubs I write but my overall rating as a writer. They are opinions which represent the quality and content of what I write. Hubpages is everything I expected and more.

Big opportunities are widely open if you know how to write. I want to improve my writing skills and maybe, to earn from it. That's my primary reason why I joined in. Do you have any other reasons aside from sharing to the world whats on your mind?
