Is it important to write summary for our hubs ? How important is it to increase their traffic?
Hub summaries are equivalent to 'meta description' tags in html terms. They are read by search engines for it to somehow gain an overview of what the page is, keywords found here therefore contribute a specific weight on the overall page relevancy.
Also, you can see your hub summary as the description of your link in the search engine results page. (SERP) Type in the url of one of your hub with a summary unto the search engine and you'll see.

It's very important, it'll help you pop up on a Google/Bing/etc Search.
