Just started in hubpages.
Can I put some text in colour?
I have tried, but have not managed it yet.
Apprieciate your help.
That was pretty final.
Hello Ian How is this for colored text?
Just read the information in "formatting tips" below this box, click on it, K?
Can y0u show me what the html is that I would put in for say hello if I wanted it red.
I have just tried it and did not get the colour.
Sorry, I didn't know you meant Hub text, I thought you were asking about how to do it in here, in the forum....
There may be a reason that Hubpages team do not allow color in the hubpages hubs.
However, they may think of this option. It is better for some hubs though not for all. It will work good for designing, fashion and related hubs.
Yes, but you can't put it in hubs thankfully
Click on Formatting Tips when you reply or create a new thread, at the bottom right hand corner of the box.
Thank you all for your help.
It would have been nice to put a bit of colour into the hub.
Any one know the reason why you can only use black?
Because it makes the hubs harder to read and a lot of people don't have patience for that. Your aim is to get people to read your hubs not chase them away.
i wouldn't. i think it would look tacky seeing a bunch of hubs with colored text all the time, or with animated .gifs, even. if you want to emphasize some text just bold or italicize it.
p.s. welcome aboard. you will like it here
So They Don't COPY and steal them
PD, what's up with the avatar??
It's more conducive to the BS that got thrown around about the stolen hubs As you can see, I caught some of it
i love the little puppy though, you'll have to bring him back every now and then.
PD ...can a color setting be copied more easily than black & white copy? I didn't quite get what you meant?
I like the samurai teh best
OP - style customization is not allowed because the majority of people cant be trusted to use good taste and judgement
Have you ever been to MySpace?
What is a big distinction between MySpace and Facebook? whicj one is more popular.
but on the other hand it would e great if the would let me use the <blink> attribute, boy would that be beautiful...and some .midi autoplayers, perhaps a sparkly unicorn .gif
teh things we could do!
Thanks a lot for the great replies.
I understand a bit more now.
All the best.
Black lettering on a white background is supposed to be optimal.
(I think second is blue on white)
I know how to have any color text in a hub! The way I do is to write what I want in my Email client,,, change the color and text size and format to waht i want, and then copy and save as an image and then add to hub!
I would not recomend it as the web spiders will not be able to pick up the key words, but I did do a 'title' in color in this hub below.

What is the best way to make legally clear my copyright restrictions on use of my text or photos?I'd like to put a message in my hubs re-copyright. We all have different attitudes on copyright. My view is that I don't mind people quoting a few sentences from my hubs in their work, and I don't mind...

Hi all,I'm brand new to the hub thing. I've applied for Google Adsense and I think I've got it set up for my hubs. Not sure though.Anyway, I'm a pharmacist and I like to write, so this seemed like a fun place to pour out the stuff I talk about at work.Let me know any thoughts or...

Maybe its my OCD but when I look at a hub, or website that doesn't justify the text so that the columns are even on both sides (think columns in a newspaper or magazine) it looks messy and unprofessional. If we were allowed to Justify the text in each text box or if the HubPages had a default...

I have a hub that I have yet to publish. I've been working on it and then this warning suddenly shows up "WARNING [?]NOTE: A substantial portion of the content on this hub appears on other pages". How do I get rid of this warning? And how can I find exactly which part of this hub has the...

In some cases I've wished I could use some coloured text to emphasize certain phrases or paragraphs. Even just red and blue HTML tags would be sufficient. After all you can do that very thing just like I did here, why not in your hubs? Please add this feature...I think it would...

I have done a fair bit of writing, but I'm new here so I want to make sure and fit in! I know one of my hubs missed the mark, but I'd love to hear what I'm doing right, and what I'm doing wrong. I don't mind constructive criticism - I'm here to learn! Would anybody be...
