   Hi,
   
   Just started in hubpages.
   Can I put some text in colour?
   I have tried, but have not managed it yet.

            Can y0u show me what the html is that I would put in for say hello if I wanted it red.
            I have just tried it and did not get the colour.

               You can't change the colour of text in hubs.

      Sorry, I didn't know you meant Hub text, I thought you were asking about how to do it in here, in the forum....

         There may be a reason that Hubpages team do not allow color in the hubpages hubs.
         
         However, they may think of this option. It is better for some hubs though not for all. It will work good for designing, fashion and related hubs.

   Yes, but you can't put it in hubs thankfully

   It would have been nice to put a bit of colour into the hub.
   Any one know the reason why you can only use black?

      Because it makes the hubs harder to read and a lot of people don't have patience for that. Your aim is to get people to read your hubs not chase them away.

      i wouldn't. i think it would look tacky seeing a bunch of hubs with colored text all the time, or with animated .gifs, even. if you want to emphasize some text just bold or italicize it.

      PD ...can a color setting be copied more easily than black & white copy?  I didn't quite get what you meant?

   What is a big distinction between MySpace and Facebook? whicj one is more popular.
   
   but on the other hand it would e great if the would let me use the <blink> attribute, boy would that be beautiful...and some .midi autoplayers, perhaps a sparkly unicorn .gif

   Black lettering on a white background is supposed to be optimal.
   (I think second is blue on white)
   Why change?

   I know how to have any color text in a hub! The way I do is to write what I want in my Email client,,, change the color and text size and format to waht i want, and then copy and save as an image and then add to hub!
   
   I would not recomend it as the web spiders will not be able to pick up the key words, but I did do a 'title' in color in this hub below.
