I hate to break it to you KCC Big Country, but I have already met Gordon Ramsey. I won a competition to eat at Claridges, meet Gordon Ramsey. I had a photo with him and got the claridges menu signed.... That was more than a year ago now, but a great day.

He is a very very sharp man, doesnt miss a trick. I have a fair bit of respect for him purely on the basis of how sharp his mind is.

OMG! That is so cool! I love Gordon (and yes, my husband knows)...LOL  I would love to meet him.  The man knows his stuff.  You have to respect that.

You should do a hub about your experience meeting Gordon!

I'm curious about one small detail in your original message--you said that a famous person's "people" are sending you some signed memorabilia--all because of a hub. I'm going to assume that someone other than yourself wrote the hub that attracted the attention because under your name, it says "Hubs: 0". There is the possibility that your name on the hub is another name and that you wrote under still another name and attracted attention.

    So what's the deal here?

    1. profile image0
ryankettposted 14 years agoin reply to this

The deal is that I have 144 hubs under the username ryankett (remove space), I didn't really understand the rest of your post?

Maybe they'll send you something from the execution chamber!!!! Unfortunately for me I don't think many historical characters have 'people' though getting some of Nefertiti's memorabilia would be cool!

      Congrats Ryan, well done.

As to this post, I too had a teacher asked permission to use one of my historical hubs to share with her class.  I was very honored.  She emailed me back to tell me her kids loved the article.

Congrats!  It is thrilling, to think that one's words and message is being shared with others even if there isn't a personal gain at times. Guess this is why most of us write for. smile
