Can we get help on content theft from Hubpages?
Do you think that if a lot of hubbers get together, we can get Hubpages to address the theft of content by bigezine?
I sent an email to the Hubpages team when I found out that my work was posted under other writers on Bigezine (three of my poems, at last count) and received the following response...
"Yes, we have heard about this, but the best thing to do is have each Hubber file a DMCA complaint with the site in question.
Please see our Learning Center entry on how to format a DMCA complaint: http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/how- … -complaint
and use their form here: http://bigezine.com/contact/
Also, email the complaint to the person who registered the domain bigezine.com: firstname.lastname@example.org"
I followed their directions to the letter. It seems to me that Hubpages has a vested interest in copyright infringement considering that their livelihood is dependent upon the material submitted and published there...It is my understanding, however, that the owners of bigezine are operating out of New Deli and I seriously doubt that our USA copyright laws apply there, but I don't know that for a fact.

I've just seen that one of my hubs has been flagged up as having been copied. Someone has copied it word-for-word on Yahoo Answers. What should I do about this? And will my hub score suffer as a result? Thanks, Moon.

It took almost two weeks, but my copied poem is now gone from a Blogger's post! This poem was copied verbatim when it was published here. I had tried to file a complaint using the form we are furnished, but I must have missed a step along the way. After waiting a couple of...

Hi all. I've tried to reach a HubPages person for an answer to this question but haven't heard anything, so I'll ask all of you.Earlier this year I unpublished a hub to make some changes. I went to republish it last week and just before doing so I found that a blogger had pasted my entire hub, word...

Hooray! For months now I've been trying to figure out who to report the "alleged" infringement on one of my hubs where 9 links to ads have been placed. Whenever I would click the link it would take me to an advertisement that required 3 attempts to leave the page without buying the...
