Does it bother you when your comment on Hubpages, FB, or elsewhere is ignored?
I think it's important and courteous to acknowledge someone who takes the time to leave a comment or response to an article or post. I also feel it encourages discussion and communication among community members. I was wondering if others feel the same way.
It doesn’t bother me, maybe disappoints me a little bit. I just remind myself that people are really busy and hopefully it wasn’t because my question was boring or something.
I disagree. If I felt like that, I wouldn't be able to get out of bed every day.
What you say is true, it can encourage discussion. But honestly I don't really think about it. I comment on hubs I enjoy and want to let writers know I liked it but after I comment, I move on and don't think about whether they commented back.
Facebook? No, not at all. I figure it isn't a chat but a comment so I think of it as a one way communication. I comment and move on.

Have your comments been ignored? If you spend the time to read a hub and leave a comment, does it bother you if the author acknowledges all the other comments but yours? And do you just forgive the oversight and continue to follow them?

I joined up with Hubpages a week ago, originally just to build links to a website I started 2 months ago. Does it bother you when hubbers leave generic comments on your hubs? You know, the person who always leaves a comment along the lines of, "This is great information! Thanks for sharing!" You know that they didn't read the article. You know that they didn't give it a thumbs up or vote it as...
