How can I keep a photo from rotating 90 degrees after uploading it?
It tends to happen when I crop a JPG so that it is either really narrow or really short. When that happens, I use other software to try to compensate before uploading again, but it just "reorients" the second time. Sometimes after a lot of fiddling, it works; I don't know why.
If you place a square box behind the image it will work. Insert square box, place it behind your image, format box with no line and no color, group the two (the box and the image), save as a jpeg. Use that new image (the jpeg) as your image. It will have white space around it but if the background is white, you won't notice it. Good luck!
With what software? I don't think this is something I can do with free, simple crop-and-store programs.
I use Microsoft PowerPoint. It is the easiest for me. And I use a PC. I believe that Miss Olive uses a Mac. If you also use a Mac I suggest you take a look at some of her hubs. She is an expert on this subject.
