So I'm intrigued by Hub Pages but I feel a little daunted when it comes to creating a page. So many rules, which is good, but I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. Any suggestions?
Write articles about things people want to read. Come up with a question someone would search in google. (Sometimes googling the question can show you what's already out there.) Then write about it. Outlining using main points can help. Numbered lists are useful too. "10 Books You Should Read This Summer" or "5 Must Have Kitchen Utensils."
Read a lot of hubs with high scores. See how they are formatted with links, photos, and video capsules. If you feel an amazon or ebay capsule will help your hub then add it.
Just start writing hubs. Once you get past 10 you'll start to see what is working and what isn't. You can tweak and modify to your heart's content adding links, changing your title, adding better pictures.
There are a lot of hubs on this topic. Look them up under the explore tab and you'll find a lot of good information.

Do you more experienced Hubbers believe writing about controversial topics like politics hurts or help your page traffic? For example, if you disagree with someone's political Hub, will you not visit their other Hubs?

Could this facility be added to Q&A, just like in the text capsule editor? The ability to add a photo would be useful also.

I've definitely been seeing an improvement in levels of traffic to my hubs over the past 5 days, or so. I seem to have gained back the 15-20% that I lost in early 2012 with maybe a little extra on top. I'm...
