Is it not better to use keywords that have the least competition? I've been using the keywords that have the highest amount of searches with the least competition, because I did not want my hubs to be burried in the back pages of google, but should I go with the highest searched keyword even if they have a lot of competition?
I think the best case scenario is to go with the highest searched keywords and make the quality of your hubs so good and your SEO strategy so strong that your hub stands out and appears on the first page
