Many people associate winter time with Christmas, a Christian holiday that now is celebrated by many non-Christians.  But, whatever you celebrate this time of year, be it Hanukkah, Eid al-Adha, Bodhi Day, Navratri, or the dozens of religious or secular celebrations, celebrate it here in this forum.

Below, I'll start with a five stanza refrain.  Add a stanza on your celebration.  Please, try to keep the same AABBA rhyme scheme, and hopefully try to keep the beat.  Before long, we'll have a song.

Good spirits are rising this time of year,
Filling people with hopefulness and cheer,
    You know that's it's true,
    Especially for you,
Share a bit as the holidays grow near.

      Embrace the ones you love,
begin to spread the hub love,
      wishing upon a star,
all of us know who you are,

        Live for today
        as everything changes
        Do not take for granted
        those you hold near
        or you may some day
        find them far far
        from here.

Sing of partridges in a pear tree.
Holiday joy for you and me.
    Gather friends and family near.
For this time of holiday cheer.

(wsp, even your lyrics can be turned into a traditional and "non-J.A." kind of thing....)  lol

Visions of sugarplums in Hubbers' heads,
and there's baking of pies and fruit and nut breads.
All through the religious forum there's peace.
For just a brief time all the arguments cease.

It's that time of the year,
when the jolly Santa Claus is here.
    Planting presents underneath the tree,
filling stockings maybe two or three.
I didn't make the 'list' this time I fear.
    Nothing but coals...oh dear...oh dear!
