What hub promotion activity consistently performs well that you don't think is common knowledge.
I am interested in hearing what techniques have worked well for you in getting people to find your hubs aside from the big traditional promotion places like twitter, facebook, pinterest, reddit ,etc.
I put all of my photo's I use in my hubs on flickr and include a link to the article in the caption of the photo. tag the photo's correctly so people can find them on flickr. You get two advantages this way.
1) people can read your hubs after finding your photo's online either through searching on flickr or through the search engines image searches.
2) the link in the image caption counts as a back link increasing your Google ranking.

I have managed to get a few decent backlinks to my articles by pure luck and they certainly help me get views so I was just wanted to know if anybody knows any ways of consistently getting good backlinks when you write on a variety of subjects?

One of my fairly ok performing hubs seems to have frozen for weeks now. Or so it seems.This hub has been consistently getting an average number of views EVERYDAY for as long as I can remember. I was therefore surprised when I noticed that my clicks never register. The 7day, 30 days and 'ever'...

I just published my 120th hub today, and finally my hubscore went up to 96! I've watched it gradually creep on up from the low 80s (when a bunch of Squidoo lenses transferred over, maybe even high 70s). I have no idea how much this matters, but just thought I'd share!
