What Motivates and Inspires you to Write?

Share what motivates and inspires you to write. Everyone has a person or something to motivate their writing behind them. Here we all will love to know the story behind your writing.

The simple answer for me is Life!

Sometimes it's watching people, sometimes it's nature, sometimes it just pops in out of nowhere.

What I am interested in. I love characters, architecture, and psychology. Is there a new disorder that I am unaware of? What should their home architecture be like? Do individuals I know have interesting characteristics? What traits would do best in certain situation? Etc.

I can’t sing (that’s what others say… I think I rock!), I can’t dance (but I do anyway). I can’t paint (except by numbers). Stick people drawings are a big accomplishment for me and my best sculptures are snakes made out of play-dough.
I can write… and I enjoy it, even when the topic is a sad one. I guess I should publish some cheerful hubs so people can see the fun, happy side of me!

LOL, i can so relate to not being able to sing. It really sucks for me, when I have so many family and friends that can.

Well as someone new to writing, I have found wanting to write is not the same thing as what  motivates me to write.  A lot of times I will sit there and write a couple sentences or a couple pages before giving up and saving to my scrap folder. When I do write something above my usual efforts, It is ussualy stems from a conversation, a story, a relationship, or even the view from mountian road.  Basically anything that makes me makes me re-evaluate my own perspective.

Writing is a form of personal expression and sharing. I started writing when I started raising two puppies. Their stories just had to be expressed!
