    Having some trouble on hubs

So, im new to hubpages. I just wrote my first hubpage. I joined mainly to better my writing skills. I'm not a very good writer. I had to keep editing my hub. Am I suppose to hit publish again after every time I edit? Also does that make my score go down, because I was at 30 now I'm at 25. I don't know why it went down. I haven't done anything except for try to get an article published. How long does it usually take to get published?

You will see the status of your hub at my account>>hubs>>statistics.
There you can see if your hub is published, submitted for publishing or if it needs revision. Let me know what the status of the hub is and I might be able to help you out. As for hubber score, it is affected by number of hubs, the quality of hubs and how active you are on HP. If you want a more informed answer you can go to the HubPages FAQ page. http://hubpages.com/faq/

No you are not suppose to hit publish everytime. Just the first time and then after that just hit done editing. Learn this early, Your score only matters to you and means nothing! They say it has to do with quality but once you hub hop enough and see people with high scores with very poor work you will understand why I say it means nothing. It has nothing to do with your abilities, quality of work, or google. Don't let that number bother you. That being said no one has any clue how they actually come up with the number. I can post 3 new hubs and my score will drop. If I leave for a couple days it goes back up. Is your hub awaiting review for publish? If so it should happen within a couple days. Good Luck!

To me I rarely even bother to look at my Hub score, it isn't the reason I write. Try to stay positive, you are only as good as you think you are.

I have had Hubs that have gotten over a 1,000 page views in a couple of days and it only scored in the low 70's, so I wouldn't worry about that now.

Titles are very important as are keywords visit google adsense and find some keywords for your hub and repeat them in your Hub at least five times if not more.

Use photos, an amazon capsule if relevant, polls, links, RSS feeds and edit your content at least three times, Do Not misspell words.

Read about ways to improve your Hubs and use the suggestions.

You'll love this site when you get the hang of it, everybody is really cool except me!

Don't hit the publish button until you've made your Hub as good as you can make it.  You'll want to make sure you checking your spelling and grammar and add multi-layered content (pictures, etc).

You can save and edit without publishing as much as you want before you make your Hub visible to the reading audience.
