Is hubpages an addiction or interest?
Do you think Hubpages is addiction or interest that makes you coming back everytime?
For me its interest. I enjoy writing here and interacting with the community but I have no problem taking a few days off when life gets busy.
Hubpages is a place where you hang out with a bunch of nice people who want to share their beautiful words and knowledge with you and hope that you'll share back. If those are the characteristics of an addiction then hanging out with my friends at school every day is an addiction. Hubpages is a kind community.
Addictions are harmful, so yes, if you neglect your pets, children, or spouse for hubpages it would be an addiction, however I don't think that this is the case. I think hubpages is more of a casual community, it's not like gaming or gambling websites where every moment is spent trying to be the best and beat your competition. At hubpages the goal is to work together and create beautiful, useful content.
I started using it as a place to help sharpen my skills for adding stuff to my resume. It helped me find a job. Now, I use it to write a few hubs a month along with answeing some questions. My gaming PC died back in June. Tragic story that I'm not willing to share because of how upsetting it is, BUT it should be fixed in a few weeks. So, I may or may not be as active once I get it back. =-P
I think it is an interest but can become an addiction due to so much high quality content from lots of authors
