Did HubPages do away with the old way of notifying us?
When I returned from vacation in late July, I began noticing that I was not getting any notifications in my inbox regarding comments left by readers of my hubs or new followers. I'm wondering...did I accidentally click on something that terminated those notifications, or did this happen to others as well? If the latter, then how do we now know when to acknowledge and/or respond to others? Thanks to anyone and everyone who answers.
I still get my regular notifications, so I suggest you re-check all your email settings in your profile to make sure that things are still set the way you want.
I will say, however, that this late in the summer things are slower with many people on vacation and not as active online.
Hi, relache! Hey, it worked! I must've clicked the wrong link in an email from HubPages at some point. Anyway, I'm good to go. How are you doing, by the way? Hope you and yours have been having a wonderful and eventful summer! Thanks for your answer!
My summer was awesome. I went to England and France and met Hub authors there... then came home and wrote a Hub about it.
I am still getting notifications too. Trying to figure out why I can't play the music/videos that are linked in hubs though.
Thanks for your input, xstatic. I followed relache's advice, and I think the problem is corrected. Regarding your situation, I'm wondering if you need to download a free program. Or, try this...google search your problem. Or try YouTube for answers.
I'd still like to see announcements on my feed stating when these changes are to come and why. Especially why. I don't see what was wrong with the old questions or profile layout - why do I have to change with it? I turned off email notifications due to huge amounts of mail. So much that I marked anything from HubPages as Spam.
But if that's the way things are, I'll have to change with them.
John, I do appreciate your very honest commentary. Simple is always best in my book, too. Thanks for taking the time to respond. Aloha!

When a particular hub is unfeatured, can the moderators be more specific about what is the problem areas which have to be improved. Just writing ‘ Spammy elements ‘ doesn’t help. I keep on updating my hubs regularly, even if they have decent traffic/ views. But these days, any editing (from my...

I recieved an email from a hubber who said she was 13 years old. It wasn't asking for help or anything...it was trying to make friends. I forwarded it to the Hub Team because I don't think 13-year-old girls should be writing to adults on the internet.has anyone else gotten anything like this and if...
