I keep typing in my recipe instructions and then when I go to publish, they are gone.
This has been happening for a few days. I don't want to waste time typing and re-typing if maintenance is going on. Is this happening to anyone else?
Not to me and I am on quite a bit. Sorry this is happening. I certainly wouldn't want you to think that HP doesn't like your recipe. By the way, what is it for?
hi cam8510, thanks for the reply. It is strange and it has never happened before. I'll try again today. The recipe is for crab cakes and another for zucchini sandwich cookies (both pretty darn yummy) Thank You.
You must get this problem solved so you can get those recipes on here. I insist. I have not posted any recipes, but I do have a recipe for slow cooked salmon that I might try out on HP.
I draft in a simple word processor most of the time then copy and paste my document into my Hub. Yes, it takes further cutting and pasting to format using Hubpages text boxes, but it sure beats typing it again.
In previous Blog sites that I had used, sometimes whole articles would get dropped; this was a great source of angst among all the writers. Therefore, I save my articles on a couple of drives so I can paste them back in. Fortunately, Hubpages has been super stable for me. Surprised to read the problem you are having.
hello DoltForHer, your method is a wise one. I had been doing that myself for awhile and then I realized that I could save so much more time typing directing into the hub capsules....until now. Perhaps, I should return to my former methods. Thank You
For the readers who would like to use a word processor, I use Notepad with Wordwrap turned off. Microsoft Word inserts hidden text that usually shows up in the paste; what a pain that is!
