How would you feel if you are offered variety of colorful backgrounds to choose from while publishing a hub or forum?

I like the idea of adding more vibrant color to our hubs. I think it's a good question you pose. I know we can add light grey and light blue to some capsules that are right aligned, but it would be nice to change a border...add a christmas theme to a christmas hub.

Yes that is what I am thinking.. I came across a few blogs (not hubs) which were having various themes related to their content. It created a different scenario all together and so was I thinking Does everyone feel the same?

I'd love it. When writing we think in colors and pictures so why not. Some sites have a splash of color or pictures in the background and I find it quite attractive.

Interesting idea but I feel it's gonna be too much. You can already choose to pimp your profile with a great background.

Hubs and forums need to be readable in the first place, instead of becoming a painting. With all the capsules you can add to your Hub, it can get quite colorful and pleasant to read.

Backgrounds can get in the way of reading someone's Hub, leaving the Hub for too much color and losing trafic instead.

Can't rule it out!!! However just like profile page if you have an option to set a background pic for each hub (not mandatory however) then how would that be??

If you take a look at one of my Hubs, you'll see that pictures, maps, polls and video's turn your Hub into a very cool one with a personal style. It's worth using them to pimp your Hub. Check out the one about Nagging Women and you'll understand:-)

Yes definitely, I'd like that. Presumably it's difficult for HubPages to do, because this seems like an obvious and good idea to brighten up or individualise our hubs. If it's practical to do so, then I would love to be able to use different coloured backgrounds (pastel shades) for different subject matter. Of course it would also be nice to be able to use different fonts or text colours if they could be applied to create different effects.

At present, the one thing I do in this regard is to use different coloured text dividers for different subjects - for example black for my astronomy hubs, purple for my film reviews, blue for essays and short stories etc.

I think it would add a bit of variety and more personality to hubs. They can be a bit bland sometimes - but I guess that depends on individual writing styles and photos.
