I've been in hubpages about a month, is this a high or low average?

It all depends on how much time you spend on the hubs. Sometimes depending on what people are trying to search they only want a short explanation of something....so if you are writing a hub about something that people want to know about put yourself in their shoes. Look at the topic you are writing about and think about whether you would need a long explanation on this topic or if you would rather just learn with a quick-read. Also, try and become involved with social networking sites such as facebook and twitter. Earning followers on these places will allow your hubs to reach more people automatically. Also understand that the more hubs you write and the more time you spend on hubpages will help your views. This is definitely a situation where you need to put in the work in order to get the results you want. Another thing to keep an eye on is your hub score. The higher your score the more appealing your page will be to other hubbers. Try and gain as many followers as possible.

You have to seo of your page and build backlink of your page. Post your link to facebook and twitter, And submit your site related article to top article directory. Definitely you got 200-300 minimum visitor per day.......

What do you mean by 'build backlink'? I link to facebook and twitter, but is there something else that I should be doing as well?

At this point you should have about 30 hubs, not nine. If you want to only reach a couple of hundred page views per day I would say that you can follow the other suggestions. If you want to have a lot more, and make an income out of your work at this site, you need to publish more well written articles.
As far as the comment about hub score: it has absolutely nothing to do with your success. No one using a search engine will even notice it. If you plan on building up your readership from HP you will never have over a few hundred per day.

I have seen yr hubs and they are quite interesting for travellers. You need to posy each links to Facebook and twitters . Backlinks, go for rate it all, DIGG, Delicious, Stumbleupon, inkedin, reddit and redgage. These places helps to bring more followers to yr hubs. Also, leave comments to hubs using hub hopping tool ( go to yr account, top left hand corner there is a frog logo ) and participate "answers" too. I guarantee you, your views will increase tremendously. BTW, you need to write more hubs, at least 30 in total, garner  into your interest, family, love and poems. Best of luck!

From where I sit I think that's pretty good for a new hubber.  I know some hubbers have achieved amazing results from a single hub but I think building slow and steady will reap rewards in the end.
