Can any one PLEASE TELL me why after a month Google still says this url address or what ever you want to call it http:/ / hubpages. com/ profile/ Phyl%27s+Potpourri  is UNVERIFIABLE?????   I know that it is valid because I copied and pasted it and also when I put this in my address bar it works.

I have sent several emails to hub pages, and to google and still nothing.  Yet google will continue to run ads with in my hubs.  How is it that this scam can continue???

Any help would be appreciated.  I am really fed up that no one can get back to me about this issue.

HubPages runs Google ads on Hubs regardless of whether the user has signed up for AdSense or not, it's how they pay for the site and all of us get to use it for free.  So, it's not a scam.

There's a troubleshooting section along with the instructions here,

      http://hubpages.com/help/googleadsense

I  understand that hub pages is being paid by google for this.

GOOGLE is saying that my http:/ / hubpages. com/ profile/Phyl%27s+Potpourri is UNVERIFIABLE.  I have written to hubpages to get help as to the problem since they deal with GOOGLE.  Still no answer

I have been to the troubleshooting section at least 50 times and there is NOTHING there that will fix GOOGLE saying hubpages is unverifiable.

I have been to all the help pages on GOOGLE and have WRITTEN TO GOOGLE the same amount of times and GOOGLE says hubpage is unverifiable.

If GOOGLE isn't scamming us hubbers then WHY is hubpages unverifiable???

I also do not understand where the '%27s' has come from in your profile URL.... could this be the problem? My profile URL is simply:- http://hubpages.com/profile/ryankett

Just my username! Could this be the issue? I wasnt even aware that '%' is valid in any URL.... so I think that I could be onto something there. Maybe a new hubpages account is necessary?

Yes I think you may be as that % sign is a space that I think if memory serves causes an error with some url scripts!!

did you give a correct email adress? does the email you used on google match the email you gave to hubpages?
you may want to double check where your emails from these two should be going and also check your junk email box for a response from HP. Be sure you have the "allow hubpages to contact you" box checked on your profile as well

Thank you Janetta for getting back to me

yes my email is correct and I gave both hub pages and GOOGLE the same address.  And hub pages is checked to to be able to contact me.

My issues isn't with hub pages the issue is with GOOGLE.  GOOGLE  says hub pages is not verifiable.  GOOGLE will not respond to emails and / orfeed back.

Do you have an Adsense publisher ID? If so, have you entered the ID into the affiliate settings section of your account? If yes again, then have you tried logging into Adsense directly? Does it show impressions?

If the answer is yes, it is showing impressions, then nothing is wrong.

Hi ryankett thanks for getting back to me

If nothing is wrong why is my hub page "not found" and why is the error message coming up "The page you are trying to reach does not exist error (404)"?

In the response to paul I out lined the steps i take and what is stated by GOOGLE.

Am I correct in assuming that you have already signed up for Adsense, as you can access your account? In that case, surely the only URL needed is http://www.hubpages.com

Upon signing up I used http://hubpages.com/profile/ryankett

Once approved, the only URL that I have needed to use is www.hubpages.com on 'allowed sites' etc.... Could you perhaps provide a screen print to the offending page?

And can you answer my question, are you being credited with impressions? On the page impressions page, does it give you a figure?

Your Google AdSense account is correctly associated with HubPages and registering impressions.  I'm not sure where Google is telling you the URL is unverifiable, as you say.  Perhaps you are talking about Google Analytics?  Analytics is separate from AdSense, and needs to be signed up for configured separately in the HubPages Affiliate Settings.

Hi Paul thanks for getting back to me.

This is what I have bookmarked and I use this to go to GOOGLE https://www.google.com/adsense/report/overview.   In there I click on site diagnostics there is where it says site not found.

I click on "My Account"  I scroll down and click on manage ads.  then i click on Site Authentication  there is where there is a big red x that says site unverified.  If i click on verify site I get " The page you are trying to reach does not exist (404)"

So how can you not exist when you use GOOGLE  to help pay for the upkeep of hub pages??

Mine's the "my-name" version of what Ryan described - the last character in the URL is "W", no numbers or percent signs, etc.  I'm thinking that could be the problem.

      Hi ryankett

the %27 is html for " ' " my name is Phyl's Potpourri.  When I signed up I entered http://hubpages.com/profile/Phyl's Potpourri and GOOGLE inserted it as ---Phyl%27+Potpourri.

as for a screen shot I don't know how to do that on a Mac.  However if you follow the steps I outlined to Paul Deeds.  you will see what I am talking about.

I glad you are smart and I am glad you helped me.  Thank you very much.

Well the screenshot is irrelevant now, basically you just need to set up a new account without a comma in the avatar... and you are on your way! Glad I could be of help.....

When I visit your profile the URL has the % in it.... adsense simply isn't liking this.... you can of course just copy and paste your hubs over to your new account (unpublish them first though to avoid duplicate content warnings).

It's normal for URLs to show up as unavailable or blocked in the Google AdSense site diagnostics from time to time.  In general it's nothing to worry about as long as impressions are accumulating in your account.

I have a question or two or three if anyone can help me:  I was trying to sign up for Google Adsense. There was an info box that appeared that told me that I need to make sure that google recognizes hubpages so as to make it "verifable". Does that mean I already signed up to get Google Adsense? Also, I can not honestly remember if I signed up for a Google account before..I can not remember where to go to find out if I did or not and if I did.. I do not remember my password? HELP!! Also, if I have to sign up as a NEW account for Adsense..where it asks for the url..is that where I put www.hubpages.com? If anyone is willing to answer these (probably) easy questions..I would appreciate it! Thank you1

If you don't already have an AdSense account, the easiest way to signup is to just select "no, I don't already have an AdSense account" here:

    http://hubpages.com/user/adsense/?action=edit

verify that the email address is correct, click the Signup for AdSense button, and then follow the instructions in the email you'll get from Google.

My adsense has been working fine intil yesterday. In my affiliate account, I saw it has the word "modify" instead of the usual "edit". I clicked on it and said that I already have an adsense account.

I filled in my email address and the last 5  digits of my phone number and I was told that my email address is not verified or not exist, same with my phone number.

I also get an email that said to check with hubpages.

      What should I do?

My email in hubpages is different from my email with google!

I did not see any earning in my google adsense either!

You Google AdSense account appears to me to be correctly associated with HubPages.  In general you only earn money through AdSense when someone clicks on one of your ads.  Most likely you have ad impressions in your AdSense reports, but just no clicks yet, thus no earnings.  Give it some time.

Maybe just the apostrophe in the URL being removed would stop it all. I think there's a space where there shouldn't be one, too.
