Does poems and haikus affect the overall quality of your portfolio?

Do you think its better to cut poems, haiku or limericks on your portfolio if your main purpose is making money? Does it affect the overall content? I mean if you write # quality hubs and with equal # of poems, will your earnings go down?

Yes, most likely here on HP, as hubs are too be a so many words, and I have noticed that those with strictly poetry hubs, their scores are normally in the 80s, but I could be wrong.  Now, when I write a poem, I do not strictly just write a poem, but have other interesting facts and such in the hub to add more content to the hub.  Then again, I am not signed up to make money here on HP yet.  It seems the "How To Do" . . . . something hubs are the money makers, which have the words that Google would pick up on.

Yes, and when it goes idle, it is hard to change words on a poem, as that is already what you wanted to say.  I just changed one, and just added one word to the front of the title, and that is all it takes.  Your poetry is amazing.

Whilst it's true that HP prefers practical, down to earth and How To hubs certain types of poetry can do quite well but you have to mix it up a bit.
I have quite a few poetry hubs and some are doing ok, others are a bit slow. But the point is I really enjoy getting poems out there, along with other hubs like book reviews and such and, though I know it won't make me tons of money, the satisfaction of creating something unique is enough!
So, I would say, if you're looking to make lots of money keep to the How To practical hubs, full of simple information. I'm not sure if having poetry hubs automatically lowers the quality of your site. Hope not!

Not to be obnoxious, but wouldn't that be "Do poems and haikus..." ?
