Traffic slump. Should we wait before continuing to post hubs?
If we are going through a periodic slump in traffic, would it be a good idea to lay off posting hubs until things pick up again?
I would say no. I don't know all that much about how the traffic stats accumulate but I have noticed that about once a month, I see a big drop for a day or so and then it picks back up. I've noticed that during those times, my traffic sources do weird things like showing a negative number of visitors from one or two sites on the list. Finally, it doesn't seem to influence earnings on those days.
These things have led me to believe that there's some sort of "catch up" period where HP merges traffic and earnings in some way. I can't explain it well, but it shouldn't affect actual traffic.
I would say no. The hubs that you would have written to start getting more traffic will not be around to get the traffic if/when it picks up again.
TOday the Oscars are on!! Guaranteed drop in traffic during that time!
I would say no since it could be just the topics you wrote about not getting as many views at this time, or Hubpages delayed view count that happens from time to time. So I would keep writing hubs so when your views pick up again you might gain even more views due to your new content.
