After publishing a Hub, you need to promote it using social bookmarking as well as networking services. Try to write a great piece of content, expectantly others will link to your site promoting it for you. Hubs can share easily on HubPages, Twitter, Facebook, Blogger, Digg, StumbleUpon, and Reddit using the "Share" button, which is located in the bottom of each Hub.
Follow other Hubbers and leave perceptive comments on their Hubs and they might follow you back and read your work!
Wishing it will work for you.

virtues almost said it all but he totally forgot about Tumblr. It's among the most active blogging platform nowadays where you can easily make photos clickable and direct viewers to your hubs. My tumblr account alone gives me an average of 100 unique views a day so it's definitely worthy trying out. About gaining more followers, there's no better way other than coming up with enticing hubs, posting relevant and timely questions, and being active in the Hubpages forum. Welcome to Hubpages and I hope you enjoy your stay here!
Thanks for the advice dailytop10! I never thought of tumblr so that's a great idea! Thanks for the warm welcome. I appreciate the time and effort you put into answering my question. I should have lots of traffic coming in no time!!
Be careful about using Tumblr to publicise your Hubs. Tumblr doesn't like it if you create a blog just to promote another site, and you can get banned for it.
Oh. Thanks for the advice Marisa. I'll be more careful on Tumblr.
I have the perfect solution for you to get loads of followers - http://possumlover.hubpages.com/hub/Sec … -hub-pages

I am currently writing and plan to write on somewhat polarizing topics, so I don't want to tell my Facebook friends when i write an article (I keep my politics closely guarded in this day and age). With that said, I'd really like to drive lots of traffic to my articles. How do I go...

Why do some hubbers get loads of attention from fellow hubbers?

I just read a Hub about apple pie recipes that got a huge amount of comments, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that a food & cooking related hub had such response when mines barely get 3 or 4 comments and are equally good quality articles. What am I doing wrong?!?!

I am still new to Hubpages and have been enjoying a rather successful start. Thank you to those who have voted my articles up and those few of you who have begun to follow me. But I have noticed one thing of late and maybe it is the way it goes but I think it is disrespectful. I have commented on a...
