If you could start your HubPages account from scratch, what would you do differently?

Now that you are a hubber with an established resume and list of content, what would you change about your choices?

I would organize my time and resources so that I could post better articles more quickly.

It's hard to juggle the demands of life and putting out quality hubs in a timely manner. Preparation is a wonderful thing. You are right.

I would probably write longer hubs the second time around.  I would put a bit more thought into every hub and use more links.  I would also incorporate Amazon ads into each hub right from the beginning.

When I was doing the apprenticeship we had to write a minimum of 500 word hubs but the suggested hub length was 1500. It can difficult to pull together larger hubs especially in a time crunch. Great comment.

Jeannieinabottle, is there anything that is stopping you from upgrading your short hubs? As far as I know, you still can do it.

Not a damn thing. This is a living, evolving, communal experience.

I also enjoy the sense of fellowship and growth.

JimTxMiller, well said!!! As long as you do your best at any moment, there is no cause for regret. And even if you had not put your best foot forward, there's nothing to prevent you from improving your hubs now.

If I had the foresight, and had not done the apprenticeship, I would have stayed with hubs about gymnastics and juvenile related issues. I feel that having a monopoly on topics that I know the most about would do me a far greater justice than writing about topics which I wasn't as well versed.

As far as the community experience and getting to know the hub teammates - I wouldn't change a thing.

I would have to give some deep thought about what subjects I submitted. ie:
I submitted a HUB on 'Colon Cancer' (I have a personal experience with that, and survived) and it made it ok.

I submitted a HUB on 'Surviving A Ruptured Brain aneurysm' ( I also have a personal experience with that and I survived that too) It was denied.

Both articles are on my blogs. I wrote both articles.

I won't resubmit theses articles but I would spend some time on what I can do to make them even more unique.  I think both subjects are topical and worth reading.

    So, it's back to work.
    RT...
An added thought. I closed my blogs down last week.

Did you appeal your articles? I hope that you decide to write again. Don't be discouraged by the opinions of others. two negative reviews is nothing in comparison to what you have survived. Keep writing!

2bealive, HubPages doesn't allow duplicate articles, even if the original artcles belong to you. I think "Surviving A Ruptured Brain Aneurysm" would make a good hub, more so if it is a personal experience. You can rewrite it from a different angle.

Perhaps I may change my username to a fancy one.

I'd change my user name! Because I no longer only write dating articles!
