Is there a way to block and/or remove people's answers to questions?

People ask a lot of good questions on Hub Pages, some about this site and some on other topics.  There are some people who gives a response that is totally ridiculous or ignorant.

If that is what you want to do, I wish you luck and success in doing that. But I add caveat emptor. This concept is used in law for "buyer beware" but it really is more about "be careful what you ask for". Like a crazed evangelist I ask you to not do such a thing. I ask you to explore why the comment strikes you as ridiculous or ignorant. I ask you then to explore within yourself how you can educate or help them to avoid ridicule.
I believe that if we put something out there it is our social responsibility to walk it through to the end. Otherwise we can ignore it, but that cheapens our resolve to write right. I trust in you, my opinion may even be ridiculous or ignorant. But I believe if it is you will do the right thing by it, and help me out if need be. I am often wrong but figure that is the essence of the wonderful H.O.W movement.

If that was abrasive, it was only my attempt to be frank and honest. If it offended it is my clumsiness that causes such misunderstanding not my intent.
    Please keep being you.

The best way to avoid having to contend with ridiculous or ignorant answers is to not ask questions. Better yet, if anyone reads an answer and finds it distasteful, he could find a tactful way to help the writer or move on. Also, It is easier to change self than others. We cannot control what others are bound to write, but we can control what we choose to read or dwell on.

I was just looking at my questions, and there actually is a "Delete Answer" option below each answer. I've never used it, but if that's what you want to do, it looks like there is a way.

If you're the one that asked the question then you can delete people's answers. There's a "delete answer" and even a "delete comment" if there's a comment to the answer. The "delete answer" is located on the same line as the thumbs up and thumbs down icons. If you click it, then the answer should be deleted. The "delete comment" is located below the comment and if you click it, then the comment should be deleted.

You can also close the question you asked or select a best answer.

However, if you're not the one to ask the question then, as far as I know, you can't delete anything. Hope this helps.
