Can include a soundtrack / background music in my video hub?
I have a video I'd like to put up as a video hub. It has a soundtrack or backing music playing. I don't own the rights to the music it's just one of my favorite songs. Can I use this in my video or do I need to have it edited out before publishing my video hub?
You have to have an okay from the editor/publisher/owner - it can be one or more people - plus it has to be in sync with the brands which the video capsule allows you to install. It also has to match the Hub etiquette.
The Examiner-1 has already answered your question appropriately. I would like to add, "Proceed with care." This is do-able, and I would love to see your work once you are finished with it. Good-luck.

Is there a way for hubpages to use background music to what is written or to impose what is written over in a photoslide effect with music?

I know many of the writers on hubpages are also independent authors and are either working on or have already published a book (or more). Do you create trailers for your books? And if so, have you found them to be helpful in promoting them?

Though most people seem to think YouTube is fair game, based on my interpretation of the law, that's...

How do you write a hub?Do you just sit down, write a hub and publish it? Or do you write a little, think about it, make some changes, do something else in between and go back to change something in your hub and then publish? How do you write your hubs?
