Why do some featured hubs get views from google and some don't?
Hi everyone, so I have about 20 featured hubs, In analyzing my traffic though, I see it all comes from about three of them which seem to get views on Google, the rest of the hubs, the unpopular ones, get views only from my profile… And other HubPages sources… I've written many of the unpopular ones on the same, or similar topics as the popular ones in an attempt to replicate their popularity. Why are most of my hubs getting zero views from Google? Do you have to wait two years for something to be searchable on Google? Do I have to change the crawl rate or something?
Hub performance is dependent upon many things - not just featured status. All of my hubs are featured, yet my top performers are a handful of the over 100. Age is a factor yes, older hubs tend to do better, but not always. Also, Google isn't the only game in town. I get a lot of traffic from social media shares. It's very common for only a handful of hubs to be the top performers.
First of all: Featured means nothing. That's just saying it's live on the site.
Second: You are in competition with thousands of other websites and articles in the same topics. You need to check who you're competing with and write on niche topics. If you have too much competition you will NEVER get traffic from Google.
