Can we put Amazon capsules of products that are ours?
I write short fiction and am hoping that my writing here will attract readers of my Amazon fiction. If I just use a picture and a URL, Hubpages only allows 2 links to what they consider "affiliate sales." I like the look of the capsules and have used them on a few of my Hubs. Is it against any HP or Amazon policies to advertise our own Amazon products (products I am the creator of)?
I've done it with my last novel, so I'm assuming it is okay to do.
I've done it and seen others do it, so I hope that it's fine. Technically, we would be getting double the royalties. Before HP changed the Amazon capsule, my short fiction wouldn't be accepted. I'm glad that it is.
If the amazon capsule can find your product, then I don't believe there are any rules against including it in the hub. Yes, you are earning more royalties, but everyone involved is still getting paid. Amazon and HubPages take out what they need to from a sale, so you aren't doing anything wrong.

So, this is the third time HP has snipped Amazon from my hubs. Every time one of my Hubs is edited by HubPages to add to a network site they snip any Amazon capsules on the Hub. The Amazon capsule is always extremely relevant to the topic discussed and is not spammy, yet HubPages doesn't seem to...

Is there a balance of Amazon products on a page that makes a hub overly promotional? Or is it dependent on the individual hub (over and beyond the 50 words per product)?

http://hubpages.com/my/hubs/stats?categ … ule=AmazonFolks, we really need to make a concerted effort to delete (or at least not display) those Amazon capsules we know to be in violation of QAP.The above link will hopefully help.

I understand the rationale for removing amazon capsules. I'm very careful not to include amazon capsules unless they are 100% relevant, and I can provide a personal opinion. I rarely do more than one per hub.HP is not only snipping amazon capsules on hubs for niche sites, but also just to have a...

Janderson just submitted some great suggestions on this thread:http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/126313#post2666393and I think this one deserves a suggestion post on its own. We're always being told to be discriminating with our Amazon capsules - less is more, they must be directly related, etc...
