Can anyone give me a little overview of how I can use the Amazon Affiliate program OFF hubpages? I see people post links on their blogs, facebook pages etc. all the time noted as an affiliate link but I am clueless! I know that I have an amazon affiliate account but that is about it. Please and thank you.
Use a special link for it called an anchor link. This combines your affiliate tag with a hyperlink to the item. I use them on my sites and blogs. Example:
TEXT GOES HERE
Use the tool bar in Amazon and it will automatically create it for you. The link has to be set into the HTML code on your page.
While you are on your Amazon Affiliate page, look for a link that allows you to create a new Affiliate ID. They will give you the ID I think for 120 days. And as long as you get a sale within that 120 days, you can keep that new ID.
Note, you can have multiple Amazon Affiliate IDs. The one you use for HubPages is obviously not to be used anywhere else. I hope this helps.

I am confused about putting a product on my hub. I can do the product, but if I try to imbed the description, it is HTML. I cannot find an answer at Amazon or in the FAQ here. I am a new associate. Thanks.

Can anyone explain why Arkansas is not eligible to participate in the Amazon Affiliate program? Is there a way around that? Are there other ways I can monetize my hubs?
