What is the difference between a hub being published and featured?
My first hub was featured, now I submitted two more, and they are both published, pending being featured. I don't understand the difference between the two.
Featured hub and not featured or being featured or pending hub is a just like public hub and private hubs. If a Hub is featured, people can search and find it on Google, Bing, Yahoo and on other search engines but If a Hub is not featured or pending then it's only visible to hubbers of HubPages, or anyone else you give the link to.
featured hubs means the hub is visible at google and everywhere. If not featured means available at hubpages but not at google.

If updating a hub that is featured, say your best hub, a Hub-of-the-Day hub, a contest winner, or such, puts it into a no-index state until it's reviewed again, why would one want to ever update it?I have such a hub...
