most recently on my hub at:
from ip address: ip: 188.8.131.52
Would appreciate any help on this
I get the UGG boots ones, but simply delete them, not much else you can do. At least Hubpages does show them as SPAM and doesn't post them on Hubtivity / Feed.
I have gotten all of those to and just delete them they are a pain in the neck so I believe they are making there rounds.
Rather than giving them another backlink by posting the hyperlink here, why not take something out of it so that it doesn't benefit them? I just delete them as well.
I fixed it so there are no more backlinks to the spammers. Thanx for the suggestions.
I am new here but I to have got the same spam you are talking about.
I really dont have time or patience to care about it. pretty much just report and delete and its gone.
In anything you do on the internet you will get the spammers but thats a part of it and really you will never stop them.
Well these are DUMB Spammers aren't they... They have left their IP Address to allow us to Identify Them
you know...i tried to be magnanimous about spammers...some hubbers advised me to but i just got this on one of my hubs that had nothing to do with boots:

from now on i am deleting ANY AND ALL SPAM on my hubs, whether it is cloaked in a semi-relevant comment or not. i don't appreciate this kind of stuff on my hubs.
It's all part of Obama's Muslim Marxist Socialist conspiracy to steal all of your cheese
wow they even email? i never get any in my email thank goodness.
When you get spam, flag it as spam, and then delete it. That teaches the comment system to catch it more automatically.
sometimes they come with a button that says "Not Spam". how are they doing that?
Spam? Haven't received any yet. Happens on other sites though.
Well it looks like we all are having that problem with comments that are spam with backlinks. So I changed the setting in most of my hubs to only allow comments from registered Hubbers (the default is to allow anyone to comment).
A suggestion for a new feature is to make that a global setting so we don't need to edit each hub to change it.
I just delete it, everyday it is there, that ugg boots
yep each and every day I get the same. And they don;t even match my purse!

Usually the first thing I do when I log on here is to check out the 'New' hubs to see what's going on. I also usually end up flagging spammy hubs along the way. The thing is that the spammers seem to be following the rules, so I'm not even really sure whether to flag them anymore or...

Just in the past 10 minutes or so I've already gotten 3 spam comments, all on the same hub! And whenever I delete one, it seems another immediately comes up!I'm sure that when I wake up tomorrow (it's almost 1 in the morning now) I'll have many more to delete. Ugh, is there a way to stop these spam...
