If people outside of hubpages reads my stuff do I still get credit?
Yes, you want people outside of HP to read your hubs - that's why you should develop Google friendly and social media friendly content. Views from other hubbers aren't where the money is, but having other hubbers read your content is helpful in other ways.

Iv'e been receiving more and more emails like the one below from new Hubbers. (names changed to protect the innocent, the Hubber was not actually called xxxxxxxxxxxxx. Not a bad idea though) Is Hubpages branching out as a Dating Service or is this a new wave Scam about to hit HubPages.

Should you promote your hub outside of hubpages to make income?Is just writing a hub good enough or should you promote it outside of hubpages to make adsense income? What are some of the ways to promote without spending money even if you don't own a blog?

I want to know if I am using links to related articles outside of Hubpages can I get credit if another site benefits from the traffic I send to it? If so, how can I track this?

I have experienced my first round of nasty comments tonight. Someone from outside of Hubpages created an account to just leave nasty comments on a few of my hubs. They were making comments about how I don't feed my children...?? And don't make them brush their teeth? ...
