Where oh where have the voting buttons gone?

Not that they were a big deal, but it was nice to see if your readers found your hub useful or interesting, etc.  Now the buttons seem to have disappeared.  Is this another innovation to improve HP?  We are drowning in innovations!!!
The voting buttons added a personal touch to our hubs and HP.

I just noticed this today. So, I assume our lifetime of HP accolades are a thing of the past?

Would have been nice if we had been notified!  I liked those darn buttons too Don.

Yes, yet another in a myriad of changes lately that I find annoying.  It was posted on the blog conveniently after it was already implemented yesterday - along with other things like a Hub editing program we can't opt out of and other "fun" things.  I suggest looking at the latest blog posts and the forums... sigh.

Christin, are you saying we can no longer opt out of HubPro?

There are two versions of it now - one is the original (you can opt out)  and one is a "light" version that you can not opt out of that is correct.

Chris...we can no longer opt out of the editing program?  Yipes -- are they kidding?

nope, not kidding, look at the forums or check yesterday's blog posts for the updates.

HP has removed them. They think it's an upgrade to the system. Frankly, I think they should be brought back. I vote on each hub I read.

Here's a link to the forum where the change was announced:

As I said, I think it is part of the personal aspect of HP.  The more they change and take away, the less personal things are going to be.  It truly saddens me.

Hi Mary, I asked this question yesterday and found out they are phasing the thumbs up/down out as well as the awesome, etc. There is a forum explaining. I was always mindful to vote up and across as appropriate. I wish they up the awesome, etc. But glad they are doing away with the thumbs down because I believe it was abused by trolls who just might not like the topic and vite down even if well-written.  I do like the larger link photos of our related hubs.

I like the larger photos too, but not the lack of author links and not being able to tell the forums from the hubs.

In fact we were notified yesterday that there would be changes including the removal or the thumbs up and down, etc.  http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/132577

Don't feel bad.  I missed the newsletter we got the 19th about the changes in HubPro.  There will now be HubPro Premium and HubPro basic.  No one can opt out of basic.  http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/132580

It seems the notification came the same day the removal did then.  I hadn't read it yet.
Are we losing control of our HP?

I had not noticed being out for awhile; thanks for bringing it to attention. I don't know what to think! Have to wait and see. Maybe they know what they are doing and probably much easier on their engines! lol

I agree, Mary.  I always used them, and with pride and encouragement.  Never used the thumbs down one, and I would have been happier had they done away with that one, alone.  I'm curious as to how this will change the scoring system as I assumed the votes were taken into consideration.

They could be so encouraging Genna.  I thought it affected scoring as well.  Guess time will tell.

If they are gone, shouldn't the feedback stats under our  accolades be gone too?
Maybe they just haven't got to that yet.

You would think, though how are we to know what some people think?  Some don't leave comments, they just push buttons.

I would like to see the "thumbs down" button gone, but I always voted to the affirmative on Hubs.
Too many changes all at once for my little pea brain!!
