   I tried to stay at the New Year's party until midnight...but HP kept whispering to me. I had to come home and see what was happening here! Also, a potential hub about English Romanticism kept composing itself in my brain, so I had to get to the 'puter to write it down.
   
   Is there a 12-step program for people like me???

   This is how I spend News Years Eve. Posting on the forums, eating deer jerkey, watching my cute grandson sleep peacfully. The cows are fed, horse is tended to, hubby asleep & I'm going at it on the forums.  Now THAT'S a happy new year!

   LOL. Hey Habee, you're not the only one. I was still hubbing last night (New Year's Eve) one and a half hours before midnight. Then I logged in again around 1 am and stayed until past 2 am.

    Me too! I finished a hub last night. But then, we don't know anyone locally to party with and I'm not a party animal anyway, so a quiet New Year doing what I enjoy suited me.

    habee, I feel for you but being in a 12 step program myself, the rule of thumb is; until you have to stop in the middle of sex to check hub scores or post a forum comment, all should be fine.

    Hi, my name is Ken, & I have a problem.  I refer to it as my obsession, but evidence does point to a full-blown addiction.
    
    It has been three & a half hours since I published a Hub & I should be relaxing, but here I am on HubPages once again, thinking & planning & visiting with those who apparently suffer the same symptoms.
    
    Is there a twelve step program for us...OR, do we write because that is what we are & to try to straitjacket that compulsion may have consequences & side-effects?
    
    I am glad Habee started this thread if for no other reason to know that I am not alone.
